The umbrella story.

Oh shit. Raining. *frown*

That's what I thought as I was walking along the bicycle shade, heading towards the bus stop in front of the neigbouring school.

What if my books get wet? What if my shirt gets wet and my bra can be seen? Will people laugh at me? What if lightning strikes me and I die on the spot?

All kinds of unanswered questions were running through my head. I went on walking without making any attempt to stop though. At this moment, I saw someone familiar.

Hey....isn't that my friend's boyfriend?

I asked myself as I sighted him. He was holding an umbrella, scanning through the crowd for the lovely girlfriend.

Aww....so sweet.

A feeling of sweetness cum jealousy was havouring over me. Right there and then I wished I had a boyfriend too.

I continued walking under the rain and reached the bus stop in less than two minutes. Waiting for that transport-uncle was always something I loathe so much. It could be up to an hour or more. The thought of that bad condition van was even more disturbing.

Sigh.

I sat there. Still thinking of how lovely it would be if I had a boyfriend to fetch me.

Eh??

Something caught my eye and took me away from my thought.

From far I could see someone so familiar. I recognized every single muscle and cell that person moved. Holding an umbrella big enough for two person, that person walked towards my direction with a big and warm smile. So warm I felt comfort in that chilly weather. So warm my heart melted almost instantly.

That person was... my mom.

Her presence was so unexpected. I was speechless. I was overwhlemed with joy. I was .....oh....every warm and nice feeling you could describe that moment.

How come you and daddy come one today?
We passed by ma. =)

I asked that Form 1 boy who took the same van as I did to pass a message to the transport-uncle.

Then, together, both my mom and I walked towards the car; a little bit of light chat, a little bit of laughter, but a lot of love, all under one umbrella.
