KL's clever boy

I was watching a tv program about the world's cleverest child.
So, there were 3 kids who were being featured in that program.

ANYWAY, one of them was a boy from KL. A young boy. Younger than a decade. He was gifted with a special talent which was recognised by professors..well according to what was said.
The interviewer was talking to the boy's so-called manager/agent/i-dunno-who-actually...let's call him Man.

It was a one-on-one interview.
Man told the interviewer that the boy knows 8 languages.
The interviewer was impressed. So he asked what are they.

Man answered, "French, German, Bahasa, Urdu, Chinese, American English, UK English, Singapore English".

I WAS LAUGHING LIKE ANYTHING I CAN'T BELIEVE THE ANSWER!!!

While asking about the differences for American and UK English.
Interviewer, "Is it like 'I have a trousers' and 'I have a pants'?"
Man, "Ya, something like that".
Interviewer, "Maybe he would wanna learn Scottish English too".

(oh yeah I had a feeling that Man didn't know what was 'pants' in the UK and just went along with the conversation coz he sounded unsure in his tone and with "SOMETHING like that" was not helping at all)

Then Man went on talking about the boy and said that the boy had sixth sense.
The interviewer was like --> O.O!

Fast forward. Later the interviewer talked to the boy in the boy's office.
The interviewer asked a number of things which the boy just answered "erm...I don't remember".
That boy was kinda passive and quiet and answered not really according to the questions and the interviewer said "I think there is a language barrier".
Then the interviewer said "I was told that you can predict the future, you have sixth sense. Have you predicted anything that happened already?"
"Erm... I don't remember".
"Can you predict the future of this world? What is going to happen to the world?"
"I don't know... but I know one day everyone will die".

So, there you go, the clever one from KL on UK tv =)
You should watch the whole interview to get what i'm feeling right now.
Malaysians will understand better how I feel haha.

note: words inside quoation marks are not exactly the same.

what an effin' embarrassment. yeah i certainly can understand how you feel..

English is the same regardless of their regional differences and cannot be considered as a different language just because we use 'lah' or other vocab differences. And even so, why is it Singaporean English and not Malaysian English if that kid is from Malaysia??

lmao language barrier and "I don't remmember". sometimes i'm embarrassed to call myself a Malaysian wtf.

yess. i feel very very embarrassed. wots worse was that this msian boy was the second to be featured. the first one was a girl 10 year old from usa, american born chinese. she has her first book published when she was 7 (or 8). she was speaking like an adult and she's the most mature 10 year old i've ever seen.
then tiba-tiba this msian boy like this was such a big turn off!! and they even showed a slideshow with words written there "aku comel" which i think was the idea of the boy himself. omg so many things that i didnt mention in the post. this can be another blog entry itself haha. i'll try to find if this interview is available online. i'll show you =)
