london

From Liverpool to London.

xmas eve - london.
it was around 6pm if i'm not mistaken. The street was quiet. Most shops closed at around 5pm.

xmas eve - playin cards in hotel.
the usual thing lol.

xmas - underground closed.
you dont get to see this on any other normal days =p

well unless there's something going on such as construction work coz sometimes they add extra tube line.

xmas - leicester square.

not many people. most of the locals spend xmas at home to have reunion dinner or at bars (i suppose). alot of foreigners on the street i remember. it was a very cold and windy night. i remember i had kit kat chunky after this picture =)

xmas - oxford street ?

big star light formed by small lil lights. there were these lights on almost the whole stretch of that street.

correction - it's regent street. thanks nat!

xmas - a quiet lane in london.
thought this was unique. it gives me the olden times sort of feeling. i was thinking of oliver twist i dunno why. but it wasn't this street that made us turned here.

xmas - hanging snowman
it was this street with the hanging snowman that attracted us here. the pic above was actually on the left of where this hanging snowman pic was taken.

boxing day - winter wonderland at hyde park
a place i wanted to go so much. not the park but the winter wonderland which was set up for the xmas season. i wanted to go on the rides so much. but i didn't. the rides were not THAT exciting, very interesting though.
the wheel behind is not the london eye. it's smaller than the london eye. considering that last 2 years i went on the london eye before, this eye is not that necessary after all.

boxing day - buckingham palace at night
last 2 years i came here for the changing of guards. it was in the morning. this time i came at night and had a whole different view of buckingham palace at night.

a day after boxing day - london bridge
last 2 years i went on a cruise and went underneath the london bridge. this time i walked on it.

a day after boxing day - not facing the camera but walking backwards coz the wind was too strong and it was too cold. walking towards river thame.
last 2 years i was on the other side of the river. this was my first time at this part. on the right was hilton hotel under construction. i think hilton hotel always have the best view. in london it faces river thame. in dundee it faces the tay river.

a day after boxing day - trafalgar square.
last 2 years a part of this square was under construction. last 2 years was summer and there were lots of people. this time it's winter. lesser people. no more under construction though lol.

london.
same old place.
but development goes on.

Jela!!

It's not oxford street. it's regent street. And the one with the hanging snowman is Carnaby street i think. :)

Btw, has it snowed yet?
